Safe water and sanitation for everyone! Happy Thursday Friends!
Even though I'm from Idaho, I'm not a camper. I'll do it if I have to, but I'd rather stay home and read a book. Recently our water main to our house broke and we found ourselves without water for four days. Fortunately, we have lovely neighbors who threaded their hose through the fence so we could rinse our dishes and flush the toilet. Egad.
Chris and I were so disoriented, probably in part from dehydration, but mostly from the disconnect. Thinking about regular activities--I need to do some laundry, maybe I'll make candles, cooking--all interrupted. We wandered around trying to do our normal activities and keep ourselves cheerful despite the impending plumber bill and the fact we are woefully prepared for the zombie apocalypse.
Water. Clean, accessible water. Not everybody has it and this must change.

The water you drink today has likely been around in one form or another since dinosaurs roamed the Earth, hundreds of millions of years ago.
